There’s so much to love about a city like Toronto, but it seems like the pull of a quiet life is always occupying a place in the back of our minds. Maybe it’s the rise of remote work making you think it’s time to get out of the city, or a simpler life in retirement is where you’re looking to head.
Maybe it’s just that the kids are getting older and you’d rather give them a life more similar to the one that you grew up in. Regardless of the reasons, there’s plenty of options when looking to have a change of pace all while staying with Ontario. Here’s some personal favorites you might enjoy as well. Halton This is a perfect option for those looking to get out of the city, but at the same time not too far away. There’s a million reasons why someone might not want to pull the plug completely and each reason is valid. Maybe the office is still in the city, or you’ve got friends and family living downtown. Once you have your piece of Halton Real Estate you’ll only be around a half hour drive from the city itself all while living the perfect small town life and having world-class options when it comes to education for you and your children. All of that on top of having the peace of mind that comes with living in an extremely safe community. Oakville Some are going to strive for the perfect mix of family life and culture. If this sounds like what you are hoping for when you are leaving the city, Oakville might be the perfect place for you. This small town has a very active arts scene perfectly paired with amazing restaurants and unforgettable shops all which do their part to give life to Oakville’s downtown. Outside of all the downtown offers, when moving to Oakville you’ll also have plenty of choices when it comes to peaceful family living thanks to the town’s affordability and it’s solid local economy. This all together with a solid heaping of ease of access to healthcare, and a great school system for the kids, and you might just have the perfect, and much more quiet, new life for you and your family. Bracebridge If having peace is on the top of your priority list looking for a new home, it’s going to be hard to beat a town referred to as Canada’s Cottage Country. Bracebridge is known to be one of the best places to live in the province and for good reason. You’ll have plenty of options when it comes to spending time outside, from exploring waterfalls to soaking in the sun on the beach. Given the town is located exactly between the North Pole and the equator, it’s also known to be the summer home for Santa meaning that you’ll have plenty of Christmas fun twice throughout the year all while only being around 2 hours from Toronto. |
