These are the new Adidas approach shoes with Stealth Rubber! Adidas bought Five Ten recently and these shoes have the legendary Stealth Rubber soles.
Check out my video review below.

Here's what I like about these shoes:

Stealth Rubber Soles
Lightweight
Waterproof
Comfortable
Shoelaces that don't become loose
Lots of room in the Toebox

My Verdict: Get them! Highly recommended.

10 Stupidest Comments I Heard About Hiking Around Las Vegas

We have all heard stupid comments and shook our heads. You know what I mean. Over the past 20 years I have heard some dumb comments, so I thought I would make a list for you. Enjoy.

It's too hot to hike in the summer around Las Vegas.
Really? Mt. Charleston area is from 20 to 40 degrees cooler in the summer than the Strip.
Turtlehead Peak is the best hike in Red Rock Canyon.
Really? Turtlehead Peak is crap. It's limestone, not sandstone. Limestone is a nasty rock. It's sharp and loose.
The Visitor Center at Red Rock Canyon has the best hiking information.
Really? The Visitor Center lists 19 hikes in Red Rock. This website has 120 hikes in Red Rock, available to VIP Members.
I have done all the hikes in Red Rock.
Really? Have you done Terrace Canyon Peak, Ice Box Pinnacle, Veteran's Peak, Bridge Vista, Decision Peak?
During summer months: Let's hike Goldstrike Hotsprings.
Really? People have died hiking Goldstrike Hotsprings during the summer. It's incredibly hot and why would you want to sit in a hotsprings when it's 110 degrees outside.

I saw a bear in Mt. Charleston
Really? There are no bears in Southern Nevada.
Rangers regularly patrol the canyons and mountains in Red Rock. They blend in and don't try to show off
Really? This was an actual quote sent to me by a ranger.
I have NEVER seen a ranger on a route in Red Rock and I have done over 1,000 hikes in Red Rock.
I was chased my a mountain lion and out ran it.
Really? I have never seen a mountain lion in my 20 years of hiking around Southern Nevada. You can't outrun a mountain lion. My advice to this person: don't leave home without a leash on.
Mary Jane Falls is a tougher hike than Charleston Peak
Really? Mary Jane Falls is 2.4 miles and 900 feet of gain. Charleston Peak is 8 to 17 miles (depending on the route) and over 4,000 feet of gain.
I don't need to take water on a hike; I am like a camel.
Really? Dehydration is a serious problem and can lead to mental mistakes. Would you want to trust a person who just set up an anchor that's dehydrated? I wouldn't.
