Last week I had a massage at Neko Massage Studio. My last massage was over a year ago. I have been having an issue with my left glute for several months, which was creating issues when I hiked. Continue reading to find out how I liked my massage.
For the past six months I have been experiencing knee pain when I hike and it was becoming an issue. If my left knee bent more the 90 degrees I was in pain. This made scrambling difficult and painful. I needed to find a solution. About Me (skip reading if you know me) I have done over 2,000 hikes in the past 24 years. From easy hikes to hikes such as: Badwater to Telescope Peak, the 4 Peak hike in Red Rock, Mummy Head to Toe, and numerous peaks in the Sierra. I have done a ton of hardcore hikes; however, I have never had knee surgery. Simply put these knee sleeves work! I did Kraft Mtn, Lost Creek Peak, and Eva's Tower without knee pain. Nothing else changed besides wearing these knee sleeves! It was amazing to hike pain free again.
They did not roll or fall down as I hiked. They felt comfortable and supportive without feeling hot or restricting. Details from Amazon:

When I wear these knee sleeves I feel 10 years younger and can hike like I use to! Getting out into the open air and onto your feet may be one of your favorite ways to spend the weekend, and if you are interested in taking a very last-minute getaway, you might be feeling a little stressed at how you will be able to finance it. It’s easy enough to plan ahead for hiking trips themselves, but actually financing it is something people really struggle with when they are so last minute. So use the tips in this article to help you budget for that trip with ease.
General Expenses First, it’s worth considering the general expenses you’re likely to accrue when you take your hiking trip. Will you be able to afford all of the different costs, when they’re put together? These costs include:
Equipment If you’re a seasoned hiker, it’s likely that you have a good amount of your equipment already bought and prepared for your periods of exciting exploration. But if you’re new to the hiking adventure, and you’re looking forward to planning your last-minute trip, you should consider buying your equipment and having it delivered as soon as possible. Search online for the best kinds of equipment on the market, and then make use of fast loans from Cashlady in order to quickly amass the capital you need for all of these new bits of equipment. This could be great walking boots, a firm and comfortable walking bag, or walking equipment like sticks and gloves. Take a look at Hiking Dude for hiking tips to understand what equipment you’ll need on your hiking getaway. Extra Costs For every trip into the unknown, you’re likely to incur high costs that you didn’t anticipate. Sometimes that’s because something unfortunate happened to you while you were away, and you needed to pay for medical attention, or you needed to find the money for an extra trip in a car or bus to get from A to B. Other times, it’s simply because you didn’t budget correctly. Whatever the reason, when you’re budgeting for a hiking trip, it’s always worth adding a little extra cash on the end of your budget for emergencies – the sort of cash that will get you home safe and sound, should you need to evacuate or get yourself to safety quickly from your hike. It’s important that you include this money in your budget, in order to keep you safe while on your short hiking adventure. The three budgeting tips outlined above will help you make the most of your last-minute hiking trip in the future, without stressing about cash and finances while you’re out on your walk. In the Second grade I learned a valuable lesson. My grandfather was a top salesman for the company he worked for and one of the first salesmen to fly to clients, instead of driving. It was a big deal in the fifties and sixties to fly. His company had a pencil with a foot long eraser for advertising purposes. It was pretty clever and really cool for a seven year old. I took one to school and all the kids loved it and wanted one. I got a bunch from my grandfather and sold them for; I believe 25 cents a piece. Actually, I didn’t have to sell them, the kids begged me to buy them. Lesson learned: If you have a good enough product, you don’t have to sell it. RedAs my teenage years rolled around I turned my attention to fireworks. We had no malicious intent just curiosity that many teenage boys had back then. Instead of taking apart gunshot shells or Estes Rockets like most kids were doing, I researched the formula for gunpowder. This was not near as easy as today; there was no internet back then. I learned that the main ingredient of gunpowder was potassium nitrate. The local pharmacy sold potassium nitrate, but it was fairly expensive. With some research I found a chemical company that sold 100 pound bag of potassium nitrate for $17.00. I was paying $1.50 for four ounces or $6.00 a pound at the local pharmacy. I talked my dad into driving me down to the chemical company (I was too young to driver - 14 years old) and I bought a 100 pounds of potassium nitrate! What the hell was I going to do with 100 pounds of potassium nitrate? Sell it to the other kids in the neighborhood! I was getting a reputation for knowing how to make fireworks and bombs. I started selling eight ounces for $1.50, twice the amount at the same price the pharmacy sold it for. I sold so much potassium nitrate the local pharmacy quit carrying it! I had two of my friends selling it at the high schools they attended. The sales brought in enough money that I never had to use my own money for other chemicals and supplies I needed. Read more I was never satisfied with the gunpowder we made. It wasn’t reliable and sometimes it did not explode. We started experimenting with all kinds of different mixtures to see if we could come up with a better combination that would make a great bomb. Day after day we tried and nothing worked. Even though we had failure after failure, we would always be careful while doing the experiments by hiding behind a tree, fence etc. so we did not get hurt. We were getting pretty frustrated and it was hard to get my friends to try just one more experiment, then one magical night we hit the jackpot. It started out like all the other experiments. I carried the mixture to a sandbox, I lit the fuse, and I ran behind the tree where my friends were waiting. They were getting tired of duds after duds and really not paying attention. All of a sudden the entire night lit up and then the loudest boom I ever heard echoed across the country-side. We all started laughing uncontrollably and hugging each other. We knew we discovered the magical formula we had been searching for! It felt like winning the Super Bowl. Lessons learned: Distribution channels and never give up. I was 15 years old when I went to my first concert and I loved it, except I was sitting so far away I could barely see the band. Instead of doing the same thing all my friends were doing, standing in long lines to get the first tickets or getting lousy seats, I made myself useful to the bands. I learned photography and then learned how to contact the bands before the concerts. These were big bands, not local bands, but since this was back in the 80’s there was really no security. I told the bands I was a freelance photographer and I would shoot photos for them if they gave me backstage passes. I never sat in lousy seats again. I either had front row seats or backstage passes. I would go to the concerts for free, have the best seats, and then sell the photos to the kids at my high school. Actually I did not have to sell any photos. They would ask me if I went to the concert and ask me to buy my photos. Again, you don’t have to sell if you have a great product. The product sells itself. Lesson learned: Don’t follow the crowd. Do the opposite, create value, and reap the rewards. I learned all these important life lessons before I was old enough to legally drive! Players have access to the biggest and most impressive gambling options in the whole world when in Vegas. But, there’s more to “sin city” than just gambling. The casinos offer some of the most impressive outdoor attractions you can imagine. It means that hiking your way around Vegas can give you an amazing life experience, without even having to step foot inside the casinos if you don’t want to.
So, what can you see when hiking around the Las Vegas strip? We’ve covered some of the best sites that are there for you to enjoy. Roller Coasters Are you a thrill seeker? If you can’t hide your excitement when it comes to adrenaline rushes then Las Vegas is one of the best places you can visit. There are a lot of different coasters all around the Vegas strip, so you can easily get the rush you need without having to wander off from the main area. Here are some of our favorites and what they have to offer to you. The Big Apple: The Big Apple is located at the New York New York Hotel and Casino. It offers spins, twists and turns as it takes you in and out of the different landmarks from New York that are located at the casino. It’s a great ride, although it’s not cheap so if you’re on a tight budget this could be one to avoid. XScream: XScream is one of the simplest and most terrifying roller coasters in the world. It’s essentially a single piece of track. What makes it so scary is that it’s at the top of the Stratosphere Tower. The tower itself is more than 900 feet up in the air. This means that even without moving, XScream is already a scary prospect. The piece of track acts like a teeter totter, and swings the cabin back and forward pointing down towards the floor, all that distance down below. The brakes on the vehicle are all that stand between an adrenaline rush and a messy end down below. This ride takes nerves of steel, but it’s well worth the entrance fee. The Luxor Hotel and Casino With most of the other venues on the strip focusing on fashionable destinations, the Luxor takes things to a different level. The Luxor has a huge pyramid as the basis for its building. It takes inspiration from the great pyramids that are located in Egypt. It’s a highly impressive structure and uses elevators that are on an incline to move guests up and down the huge structure. Not only does the building itself look incredible, but it also houses a record breaker at the very top of it. The spotlight that’s located at the top of the point holds the world record as the strongest beam of light in the world. So, while you can certainly stand and admire how impressive the building is, make sure to avoid looking directly at the light. The Park This is one of the latest additions to the Vegas strip and it provides a nice change to the endless stream of hotels and casinos. This is more of a change in tone for Las Vegas. It provides people with some restaurants to visit, which is a great change to the endless buffets that are on offer inside the casinos. On top of the various eateries, there’s also a water feature included in the middle of The Park. This splits the water across to the sides of the feature and allows people to walk right through it. If you ever wanted to feel like reenacting a scene from the Bible, then this is your moment! It also has a huge statue of a lady dancing. On the whole The Park is a nice change of pace where people can go to just take in the sights and take a step back from the endless energy that Vegas seems to encourage. Linq Promenade The Linq Promenade offers everything that you might need to really enjoy the strip. Firstly, it offers a fantastic shopping precinct, that’s completely open air. You can walk around and enjoy the sights and do a little bit of shopping. After all, even when hiking it’s nice to indulge in some retail therapy now and again. The shopping precinct is great to look at, but it’s not the main attraction when it comes to the Linq. The High Roller is an observation wheel that allows you the opportunity to take a good look at the entire strip. It’s the tallest observation wheel in the world, so you can take in the sights of Vegas from a jaw dropping 550 feet up in the air. This is without a doubt the main reason to come to the Linq. You’ll be able to see all of Las Vegas like you’ve never seen it before. The Bellagio Fountains How could any list about what the Las Vegas strip has to offer be complete without mentioning the fountains at the Bellagio. It’s one of the most iconic visuals there is when it comes to talking about Vegas. The fountains are made up of more than 1,000 different individual fountains, with the sprays going off at different heights and in different directions. With some of the sprays reaching heights of almost 500 feet up in the air, it’s certainly an impressive sight. The water show is complemented by a soundtrack that is guaranteed to get your toes tapping and a light show that sparkles through the spray of water. It’s truly one of the most incredible visual spectacles you will ever set your eyes on. If you’re hiking through Vegas, this is the one sight you really don’t want to miss out on. When you are preparing to get married it can feel like a fairy tale. For months the focus will be on the big day, but what happens after you say "I do"? A strong marriage will be a partnership, and there are a few things you can do to ensure day to day life runs as smoothly as possible.
Here are our top tips for running a household (without too many arguments) when you are first married: Discuss Your Finances Early On Money can be the cause of stress for many people, but working out your budget early on will put you ahead. The strategy you use will depend on your unique circumstances — i.e. debts, living costs and income. Some couples share finances, while others have separate accounts and have their own set responsibilities. For example, one might pay the mortgage and the other might pay for food. When it comes to your finances, there is no "right" answer. What works for one couple may not work for another. Be open, honest, and realistic about your spending. An online budget tracker such as Mint might be helpful, especially in the early stages when you need more help understanding your spending habits as a couple. Protect Your Family with Life Insurance When you are married you have another person to consider, as well as any children you may have together. Life insurance will give you the peace of mind that if the unfortunate happens, anyone left behind will be taken care of. USAA offers affordable insurance coverage with the flexibility to fit your unique lifestyle requirements. Taking out life insurance will give you peace of mind, and you will be starting your married life knowing there will always be financial security. Keep the Romance Alive When the honeymoon phase wears off you may be met with the ups and downs of the weekly routine. To keep the romance alive, try to plan some special time together. This could be a regular date night, a monthly hiking adventure, a romantic dinner, or a movie night. Not only is time important, but simple gestures can go a long way. A kiss goodbye in the morning, a random bunch of flowers, holding hands, or an affectionate text message can help to keep the spark in your marriage. To better understand what gestures are meaningful to each other, consider reading or taking Dr. Gary Chapman's book and subsequent quiz on "The 5 Love Languages." Don't forget to talk to your partner. Successful marriages are usually based on good communication, and your husband or wife should be your best friend. Coordinate Your Schedules Schedules can be busy, and when you are both working different hours or participating in sports and recreation it can be hard to know who is doing what. Arguments can occur because of housework and cooking, but you can prevent this by having a mutual agreement. Perhaps one person could be on dishwashing duty and the other can change the sheets. Someone may love gardening while the other might prefer to clean indoors. Whoever gets home first might like to cook or go to the shop for supplies. You can coordinate with an app or printed roster attached to the fridge. While it might sound unromantic, having set chores can avoid any misunderstandings. A Marriage with Understanding Every marriage is different, and how you choose to run your household will depend on your own situation. Be open with your partner and remember, things may change in the future and your strategies may need to adapt. Security can give you peace of mind, and this can be achieved with a clear budget, allocated chores, romantic gestures, and life insurance.
