HAYFORD PEAK

Special Attractions: Hayford Peak is the highest point in the Sheep Mountain range. This is the Mecca for big horn sheep.
LA MADRE PEAK
Trailhead: End of road 214
Type of hike: trail - scrambling
Difficulty: 4
Elevation gain: 3,354 miles (1022 m)

MOAPA PEAK

Special Attractions: This is one of my favorites. The knife-edge ridge is not for the faint of heart, but what a view from the top! Only a few ascents per year, makes this a classic hike for seasoned hikers. Photo
POTOSI MOUNTAIN

Special Attractions: Although this peak is visible from the Strip, it's seldom climbed. Being close and higher than the Red Rock Canyon peaks, you get to look down on the those peaks.
