Red Rock Fast Facts:
- Location: 20 miles west of Las Vegas.
- Directions: Drive west (10 to 18 miles) on Charleston Blvd. (State Route 159) . Turn right into Red Rock Canyon.

- Best Season: Fall, Winter, and Spring.
- Scenic Loop: Hours are 6 am to dusk. It's a 13-mile one-way paved road that is access to many of the trailheads. Open everyday of the year.
- Visitor Center: Open daily 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m.

- Fee: $5.00 per car. $20 for a yearly pass. Golden Eagle pass accepted.
- Permits: None needed for day hiking.
- Camping: About two miles before the entrance to Red Rock on State Route 159. $10 per night. Water and toilets available. It's called Red Rock Campground.
- Elevation range: 3,394 feet (1034 m) to 7092 feet (2161 m).
- Size: 195,610 acres
- Hikes: < 1 mile to 12 miles. All difficulties.
- Dogs: Must be on a leash.
- Horses: Designated trails.
- Bikes: Allowed on Scenic Loop.
- Mountain bikes: Designated trails.
- Firearms: Not permitted.
