Lone Palm - 2 - Easy hike to the Colorado River. There's a nice waterfall at the river.

Mouse's Tank - 1- Very easy hike at Valley of Fire.

Muddy High Point - 3- Highest peak in the Muddy Mountains. Great view from the summit.

Muddy Peak - 4- (Southern route) Best peak to bag around Lake Mead.

Mt. Wilson in AZ - 3 - Seldom climbed peak with fantastic views of Lake Mead.

North Bowl of Fire Loop - 3 - In the barren desert sits the brilliant red Bowl of Fire.

Northshore Pk and Knife-Edge Ridge - 3 - Scramble with a pseudo knife-edge ridge.

Northshore Summit - 1 - A short hike the whole family can enjoy.

Charlie Manson's Hideout - Not a hike, but a destination.

Golden Canyon - 1- Great vistas of Red Cathedral and Manly Beacon from the trail.

Mosaic Canyon - 2- An interesting canyon hike.

Gower Gulch - 1- The first mile of this hike is a interpretive trail; be sure to pick up a trail guide at the trailhead.

Manly Beacon - 2- Possibley the coolest sub-1,000 foot peak in the United States!

Pyramid Peak - 5 - Located just before Death Valley on highway 190, the summit has fantastic views of Death Valley, Mt, Whitney and Mt. Charleston!

Sand Dunes - 1- This is a must do hike. If you never hiked on sand, you are in for an unique experience.

Telescope Peak - 3 - A must do hike. From the summit you can see the lowest and highest points in the United States.

Telescope Peak via Badwater - 5- The classic hard-core hike. It's 21 miles and over 11,000 feet in elevation gain.

Humphreys Peak - 4 - Highest Peak in Arizona.

Peak 4955 - 3 - Best peak in the Mt. Nutt Wilderness Area.

Rim to Rim to Rim Grand Canyon (2 days) - 5- Everything you need to know to do this classic hike. It's 45 miles in two days. (added 8-03)

South Kaibab Trail to Phantom Ranch -5 - A must do hike. I rate this hike in the top five in the country.

Sedona, Arizona

Bear Mountain - 3- This hike is another gem. Fantastic views, coupled with an interesting trail, makes this one of the best hikes in Sedona.

Boynton Canyon - 2 - The canyon is one of four vortex areas Sedona is famous for. The scenery is breath taking. 

Vista Trail - 1- Short hike with incredible views. The panorama on the Sedona Page was taken along this trail.

West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon - 1- One of the most popular hikes in Sedona. Good hike to do during warmer weather.

Wilson Mountain - 3 - My favorite hike in Sedona. It's starts out like Red Rock terrain and changes to Mt. Charleston type terrain. Great overlook of Sedona.

Cactus Flower Tower - 4 - This is the peak just north of Mt. Wilson. Great summit that puts up a real fight!

Yoga Peak - 4 - Great route through Big Horn Sheep Canyon with a descent through the Mescalito fork of Pine Creek

 

Mt. Charleston:

Mack's Peak Traverse - 3- The best mountaineering route in Mt. Charleston

Mummy's Forehead - 4   Great route to a seldom climbed peak overlooking the ski area.

Mummy's Head to Toe - 5   -  The route goes to Mummy's Forehead, Chin, Tummy, and Toe.

Mummy Mountain South Ridge Route - 4- - Fun route with lots of climbing to the second highest peak in southern Nevada.

 

Other Areas:

Dove BM (benchmark) - 2- Seldom climbed pinnacle in the Castle Peak Range. These are the dramatic looking pinnacles along Highway 93 a little before Searchlight, NV 

Pinnacle 2 Castle Peak, CA -2 - Wild route and sister to peak to Dove BM. You can do the both in a day.
